August 2018 IPSY

AUGUST 2018

About the theme: *gasp* Apparently Ipsy is "phasing out" the monthly themes. For what? Why? I don't know. But they shall be missed. Even with that, there's the "Confidence Level" line on the card there.

About the bag: "...adds a pop of colour to your summer looks."

Products: Liquid highlighter, eyeshadow, multi-use pencil, night serum, brow pencil, an eyeshadow palette and bronzer.
Brands: Absolute, Billion Dollar Brows, Dirty Little Secrets, Eddie Funkhouser, Make Up For Ever, MintPear, Pacifica.

Eye Artiste Eyeshadow by Absolute New York. This eyeshadow single was an extra item generously included by a lovely in customer service. The photo shows a different shade; "Posse" is more mauve/purple.

Rosehip Night Serum by MintPear. I've recently gotten into skincare again randomly, so I'm interested in trying this. I don't think I've ever used a serum on myself.

Glow Drops by Eddie Funkhouser. "Candlelight" is the name. Liquid highlighters aren't my favourite, especially for myself. But I love that this is a brand I've never tried before - it goes without saying I'm always excited to try something new be it a brand or product. Adding this to my pro kit!

Artist Color Pencil by Make Up For Ever. First, I love the name of this - "Whatever Walnut". I actually already have this shade that I'd gotten for free from Sephora, so I'm excited to have an extra because these pencils are a godsend and this shade is a perfect, gorgeous nude. They're multi-purpose; eyes, lips, brows.

Mini Universal Brow Pencil by Billion Dollar Brows. Definitely not universal - the photo shows it much darker than it really is. It's far too light for me, but it'll be a nice little addition to my kit.

Beach Crystals Eyeshadow Palette by Pacifica. This little palette is so gorgeous.

Bronzer by Dirty Little Secret. The shade is called "Skinny Dip". I've said it a million times before and I'll keep saying it - no shimmery bronzers for me; I much prefer matte. To the kit!

Bag rating: 3/5, the second bag in a row where if you knew me you'd probably be surprised I don't hate this; orange and yellow - definitely not me. But there's something about this I find cute.

Overall rating: 4/5
